Day one of the Pac-12 tournament is in the books. Here is a recap of Wednesday's action at the Staples Center:
The Arizona State Sun Devils' hopes for the NCAA tournament were dashed on Wednesday after losing in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament to the Stanford Cardinal, 85-65. Chanse Creekmur led the Sun Devils with 13 points off the bench. Stanford jumped out to a 50-30 halftime lead and held off the Sun Devils in the second half.
Arizona will see its first action against the UCLA Bruins on Thursday. UCLA beat USC 55-40 behind a game-high 15 points from Lazeric Jones. The Bruins' defense held USC to 29 percent shooting on Wednesday.
In the other two first round games, Oregon State beat Washington State 69-64. Devon Collier was 7-for-8 for the field and scored a game-high 19 points for the Beavers.
Colorado took down the Utah Utes by a score of 53-41 in the final game of Wednesday. Three Buffaloes finished with double-digit point totals, including Andre Robinson who led the team with 20 points.
