The Arizona Wildcats missed out on the NCAA Tournament but they will have another shot. at a postseason tournament. The NIT selections will be announced on Sunday.

The Arizona Wildcats suffered a disappointing loss in the finals of the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament. Their regular-season finale loss to the Arizona St. Sun Devils evaporated their at-large bid hopes, but being knocked out of the Pac-12 Tournament pretty much ensured that the Wildcats would miss out on the 2012 NCAA Tournament. When Selection Sunday rolled around, their name was not called to the dance.

But all is not lost; Arizona is likely to receive a bid in the postseason NIT Tournament. The Wildcats are projected to be a No. 1 seed, along with the Washington Huskies, Miami Hurricanes and Seton Hall Pirates.

Selections for the NIT will be announced at 6:00 p.m. PT on Sunday. For more info on the tournament projections, check out NIT-ology.
