Griffey has been playing his high school football at Florida powerhouse Dr. Phillips in Orlando, and he's been one of those under-the-radar guys that doesn't wow you at first glance. Griffey committed to Arizona over a host of other schools, including Iowa State, Michigan State, and Washington State. He was selected to the Under Armour All-American Game, so he's not just being noticed for being his father's son. More from this profile from Paul White of the USA Today.
Griffey could fit in well in the spread option offense that Rich Rodriguez likes to run, as he has great athletic skills that makes him the perfect receiver for an athletic offense.
