Davonte Neal Can't Commit To Ohio State, Visiting Arizona

Davonte Neal's recruitment has picked up in the past month, as the Ohio St. Buckeyes engaged in a full-court press to land one of the best athletes out of Arizona.

But it looks as if the interest between the two parties wasn't mutual enough for it to stick, and Urban Meyer has moved on. Surprising, since Neal looked like he was ready to make the move to Columbus.

That's pretty surprising. It seemed like Meyer and Neal were hitting it off right. Why would the Buckeyes head coach not reserve a space for a top target?

Anyway, with Ohio State out of the picture, it can only mean good things for the in-state school. And Neal has shown increased interest in the Arizona Wildcats, enough so to take his final official visit this weekend to Tucson. While schools like Oklahoma, North Carolina and Notre Dame remain in the mix, it can only be a good sign for Rich Rodriguez that his top target is still on the board and uncommitted after National Signing Day.
