Quarterback Brock Osweiler of the Arizona State Sun Devils could be leaving Tempe.

The Arizona St. Sun Devils are undergoing a deep period of transition with the firing of Dennis Erickson. A new head coach is in with Todd Graham coming in. With Graham coming in, offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone has also departed, likely on his way to UCLA.

Mazzone's departure might affect the decision of ASU quarterback Brock Osweiler to stay or go. Osweiler was very attached to his old offensive coordinator, and said as much to the media.

When Mazzone wasn't given the ASU head coaching position, it looks like Osweiler might be considering playing elsewhere. Greg Biggins of ESPN tweeted the following.

Sorry to be vague and not sure it has legs but hearing some interesting rumors regarding ASU QB Brock Osweiler

Not sure he'll pull a Dayne Crist (graduated and able to play right away) and transfer but there are some intriguing schools very interested

Again, not sure if it has legs but heard from two fairly reliable sources so we'll see what if anything happens with it

If Osweiler departs, the Sun Devils could be in dire straits. They really don't have anyone to replace him at the quarterback position and ASU might be stuck in rebuilding mode their first season. If ASU is expecting any success in their second season, they'll need to get Osweiler back and playing.
