2012 Senior Bowl: ASU's Garth Gerhart Accepts Invitation To Play

With their football careers closing it’s doors, many seniors getting a chance to play the 2012 Senior Bowl are jumping at the opportunity, and Arizona State offensive lineman Garth Gerhart is no different, accepting an invitation to play in this year’s Senior Bowl on Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Gerhart, a 2011 Second Team All-Pac-12 honoree, has been the Sun Devils’ starting center for the past two years. Gerhart suited up for 39 career games while at ASU, getting the start in 35 of them, seeing playing time at center, right guard and left guard. He was named a team captain before the start of the 2011 campaign and graduated in the spring ‘11 with a bachelor’s degree in History.

The NFL Network will televise the 2012 Senior Bowl, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. MST on Jan. 28.
