College Football Rankings 2011: Arizona State Gets to 22nd in Latest AP Poll

After a huge win over the previously ranked Missouri Tigers, Arizona State has cracked the top 25 in the latest Associated Press college football poll, moving up to 22nd in the nation overall.

State's thrilling OT victory proved to the rest of the country that the Sun Devil's are more than just some flashy new jerseys, they have some serious talent that is ready to compete against elite competition week in and week out. Brock Osweller looked sharp after throwing 353 yards an three touchdowns against the Tigers, including one to Jamal Miles in overtime to seal the Tigers fate. They blew out UC Davis in their first game of the year, and now prepare for a road test against the Fighting Illini next Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Sun Devils join Oregon (12) and Stanford (6) as the three Pac-12 schools that made the AP top 25, while Oklahoma, Alabama and LSU make up the top three, with the Sooners getting 32 of the first place votes.
