Prior to the highly anticipated match-up between No. 23 Arizona State and the No. 19 Missouri Tigers, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott took questions regarding the swirling speculation that the Pac-12 would be the new home of a few high profile refugees from the Big 12, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas.
Despite the persistent speculation, Scott said that the Pac-12 is not actively looking to move beyond the current 12-team alignment. At the same time, he does feel that there will eventually be further consolidation and the possibility of adding teams was built into the new TV deal. If at some point, the Pac-12 adds more schools, the deal has automatic triggers included to handle that.
