BCS Standings, Week 11: Arizona State Drops Out Of Top 25

The Arizona St. Sun Devils lose to an underwhelming UCLA Bruins team in Pasadena this Saturday night. Shocker, I know. This sort of stuff tends to happen. This should probably end any hopes they have of earning a BCS at-large bid, particularly with no big name opponents left on their conference slate.

ASU probably can find their way back into the BCS rankings, but they'll need to somehow find their way to the Pac-12 Championship Game in December. Right now the Sun Devils don't control their destiny, as UCLA now leads the South Division in the standings. ASU needs to win out and hope for a loss from the Bruins to regain hope--and UCLA does still have a road date to USC left on their schedule. Then if they get to the Pac-12 championship game and win, they'll earn their ticket to Pasadena. Tall order, but there is still an order for them to get to where they want to go.

It's far from over for the Devils, but these rankings are unlikely to make much difference to them from here on out.
