The two schools in Arizona can cement their cases for bowl bids with two winnable games this week.
Both the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils have a good chance to help their bowl arguments this week as they take on the bottom feeders of the Pac-12.
Arizona State gets their hands at the winless-in-conference Washington State Cougars. The Cougars are one of the better passing teams in the nation under Mike Leach but the team has come under distractions after ex-receiver Marquess Wilson accused the coaches of physical, emotional and verbal abuse. The Sun Devils sit 3-4 in the Pac-12 South standings behind Arizona.
Arizona is now bowl eligible, but needs to be sure to keep winning to stay that way. The Wildcats rebounded from a 66-10 thrashing by UCLA by walloping everyone's favorite Pac-12 punching bag in Colorado. They will be heading on the road to take on a Utah team that is coming off of a 34-15 road loss against the Washington Huskies.
Elsewhere in the Pac-12 there are great games but none better than the SoCal grudge match between No. 18 USC and No. 17 UCLA.
