The Arizona Diamondbacks will continue to build upon their good road trip as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates for a four game series.

After a tough come from behind victory by the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, the Arizona Diamondbacks will travel across the state and hope for a rebound against the continuously surging Pittsburgh Pirates. Led by All-Star outfield Andre McCutchen, the Pirates are currently in 2nd place in the NL Central, 4.5 games behind the Reds.

On the flip side, the D-backs have fallen to four games back of the first place Giants and 3.5 behind the Dodgers. Arizona will need to start piecing together some victories if they want to make a run at postseason play once again. Still, they are 4-2 on their current road trip.

Willie Bloomquist remains day-to-day with some lower back soreness, but many expect him to play at some point in this four game series. Henry Blanco may be unavailable for the D-backs after injuring his left thumb on a play at the plate against the Phillies. Also, the status of setup man David Hernandez is unknown after getting drilled in the leg by a line drive.

Arizona has had some pretty consistent starting pitching throughout the road trip, so that will need to continue at PNC Park. Here is who they will be sending to the mound each night:

Monday, August 6th, 7:05 PM ET: Erik Bedard (5-12, 4.83) vs. Wade Miley (12-6, 2.98)

Tuesday, August 7th, 7:05 PM ET: Jeff Karstens (4-2, 3.70) vs. Patrick Corbin (3-4, 3.60)

Wednesday, August 8th, 7:05 PM ET: Kevin Correia (8-6, 4.49) vs. Ian Kennedy (10-8, 4.15)

Thursday, August 9th, 4:05 PM ET: Wandy Rodriguez (7-10, 3.82) vs. Joe Saunders (5-8, 3.57)

All games will be broadcast on Fox Sports Arizona in Phoenix. If you cannot watch them on TV, follow them on the radio on Arizona Sports 620 KTAR.
