2012 MLB Futures Game: D-backs Prospect Tyler Skaggs Impresses In Fifth Inning

Stay connected for news and updates

The Arizona Diamondbacks are betting on Tyler Skaggs to lead their rotation for years to come along with Trevor Bauer, Ian Kennedy and Wade Miley, and the young lefty certainly impressed at the 2012 MLB Futures Game. Skaggs, who is pitching for Team USA, came in to pitch the fifth inning and did not allow a run, surrendering just one hit. He struck out a batter and needed just eight pitches to record three outs.

Now in the bottom of the sixth inning, Skaggs' Team USA leads the World Team by a score of 6-5. The World Team got out to an early 4-0 lead, but Team USA rallied for four runs in the third inning and two more in the fourth.

You can find the game live on ESPN2 right now. You can also find it streamed live online through ESPN3 and MLB.tv.
