D-backs Win Trevor Bauer's Debut, Chris Young The Hero Against Braves

Trevor Bauer lasted just four innings in his Major League debut, but the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied late to claim a 3-2 victory over the Braves to avoid a series sweep. Bauer labored through his four innings with 76 pitches, allowing two runs to score while working in and out of trouble. He allowed five hits and walked three, striking out three in the process.

It was a very warm night in Atlanta and the opposing hitters were making Bauer work in every at-bat, so him departing early really wasn't a surprise. There were no reports of an injury.

The Braves led 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, but a two-run double from Jason Kubel tied the game. Against Craig Kimbrel, who is probably the best reliever in all of baseball right now, Chris Young belted a solo homer in the top of the ninth to give the D-backs a 3-2 lead. It was CY's second homer in as many days, and the first Kimbrel has surrendered all year.

JJ Putz came in and worked a perfect ninth inning to close the game out.
