Joe Saunders was set to take the mound tonight as the Diamondbacks begin their series against the Chicago Cubs, but according to a press box announcement, he has been scratched at the last minute. Josh Collmenter will assume the duties of starting pitcher for the night.

The announcement made claimed that Saunders was simply unable to get loose in the bullpen, but many questions can be raised from this. Did Saunders get traded? Does he have an undisclosed injury?
