After losing two of three games against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Arizona Diamondbacks now begin a four-game set at home against the Atlanta Braves. They will do so without the hot-hitting Chris Young, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list for the should injury he sustained on a spectacular catch Tuesday night. They will be without Justin Upton as well, at least to start, as he is listed as day-to-day with his thumb injury.
Both the Braves and the D-backs are 7-5 so far this season. Arizona is reeling after two straight losses, while Atlanta is coming off of a 14-6 beatdown they gave to the New York Mets. So far, the Braves are 2-4 on the road, while the D-backs are 4-2 at home. However, they need others in the offense to step up as their two best hitters are currently out.
The pitching matchups for the series are expected to be as follows:
All four games will be televised on Fox Sports Arizona, but Saturday's game will be on the "plus" station. Radio broadcasts can be heard on Arizona Sports 620 in English and in Spanish on ESPN Deportes 710 and Jose 106.9 FM.
