PHOENIX, AZ - SEPTEMBER 21: Infielder Pedro Ciriaco #3 of the Pittsburgh Pirates throws over the sliding Miguel Montero #26 of the Arizona Diamondbacks to complete a double play during the fourth inning of the Major League Baseball game at Chase Field on September 21, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Arizona Diamondbacks are home to face the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game set.

The Arizona Diamondbacks begin a three-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Pirates. They return after finishing their road trip 3-3. They will be happy to get out of the wacky cold weather of Colorado, where they saw rain and snow and freezing weather. Now they return to the comfy, sometimes climate-controlled confines of Chase Field.

Coming off the roadie, Chris Young and Willie Bloomquist are still swinging hit bats, while Gerardo Parra heated up a bit with five hits in two games in Colorado. Justin Upton is getting on base and getting some hits, but is striking out a lot and has yet to drive in a run.

Pittsburgh is 3-6 to start the year and has struggled so far on the road, winning only one of six games thus far.

The probable pitching matchups line up like this:

Monday: Erik Bedard (0-2, 2.25) vs. Joe Saunders (0-0, 0.00)

Tuesday: Jeff Karstens (0-1, 3.27) vs. Ian Kennedy (2-0, 2.84)

Wednesday: James McDonald (0-1, 3.86) vs Daniel Hudson (1-0, 8.71)

Monday's and Tuesday's games will start at 6:40 PM, while Wednesday's is a day game starting at 12:40 PM.

All games can be heard on Arizona Sports 620 AM and on ESPN Radio 710 in Spanish for the radio broadcasts.

As for the TV schedule, Monday's game will be on FSN-AZ+, Tuesday's will be on FSN AZ and there will be no TV on Wednesday.
