MLB trade rumors: Justin Upton likely to remain with Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks will still listen to offers for their young outfielder, but they have not heard anything that interests them as of now.

For now, the Arizona Diamondbacks will hold on to their multi-talented outfielder Justin Upton and the $38 million left on his deal over the next three years, but that does not mean they'll stop listening to offers.

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, there is a 90-percent chance that Upton will be with the Diamondbacks when spring training starts, but that percentage could change as offers come in and the winter approaches.

General manager Kevin Towers is said to want a young shortstop and a pitcher in return for Upton, who has been linked to the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays, but those opportunities don't have much life just yet.

Towers is known around the league as someone always willing to make a trade, but he won't deal Upton for something below what he is worth.

Upton hit .280 with 17 home runs, 67 RBI and 107 runs scored in 2012.
