Fall league action continued on Tuesday.
The Peoria Javelines defeated the Phoenix Desert Dogs, 8-1, in Tuesday's most dominant Arizona Fall League performance. Salt River fell to Scottsdale, 13-6, as the home team. The Scorpions allowed seven runs in the first inning and couldn't come back the rest of the way. Diamondbacks prospect Chris Owings went 3 for 5 with two doubles in the loss. Travis Witherspoon drove in four runs for Scottsdale.
The Surprise Saguaros beat the Mesa Solar Sox in the nightcap. Nick Castellanos led the Saguaros with a double and two RBI. The Solar Sox fell behind early when starter Luke Putkonen allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings. Mesa would battle back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth before surrendering the lead for good in the sixth.
The schedule continues on Wednesday with all six teams in action.
