As the Arizona Cardinals prepare for their fourth preseason game on Thursday, all eyes remain on the quarterback battle between John Skeleton and Kevin Kolb. Arizona offensive coordinator Mike Miller is among those watching the competition closely.

"Obviously everybody knows we're in the middle of trying to determine who our number one is going to be and I think that thing's moving along pretty well," Miller said, according to ArizonaSports.com. "And this Thursday is another opportunity for both of those guys to go out on the field and show what they can do."

While neither quarterback has pulled away in the competition, Skeleton appears to have the current advantage both in preseason performance and the fact he will start Thursday's game. Skeleton has completed 10-of-15 passes this preseason for 90 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kolb has completed just 5-of-15 passes for 47 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Miller didn't point to stats as the deciding factor, instead saying it will be a combination of things that wins one of the two the starting job.

"I think we are just trying to build that continuity, see these guys continue to expand what we're able to operate," Miller said. "And just see the physical things -- the accuracy, just being aware of the pre-snap reads, the poise."

Skeleton started seven games last season with Kolb starting the other nine.
