Arizona Cardinals Announce Arrival Date For Training Camp

Stay connected for news and updates

The Arizona Cardinals are still months away from the start of preseason games, but the club has announced their start date for summer training camp. According to their official team blog, the Cardinals will report to Flagstaff on July 24. That's a Tuesday for those of you thinking about playing hooky from work. Their first team practice will take place the following afternoon (July 25).

The Cardinals will face the Saints on August 5 for the annual Hall of Fame Game. The team has an option to report earlier than other squads due to their early scheduling, but head coach Ken Whisenhunt did not feel that would be necessary. Summers in Arizona can be brutal even in Flagstaff, so it makes sense to not physically drain his team weeks before any meaningful games are played.

More details about Cardinals training camp will be made in the coming weeks.
