The 2012 NFL Draft is all said and done, and the Arizona Cardinals have themselves a bunch of new toys to play with.
Ryan Van Bibber over at SB Nation has gone through all the picks, combed through every team's decision and graded them accordingly. Below is the Arizona Cardinals final mark for the draft, a 'C' for all their efforts this year:
I like Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald working together. This pick confused some people, but a pair of receivers like that can lift an offense up pretty far. They needed help on the offensive line, and got a steal with Ole Miss tackle Bobbie Massie in the third round.
Scientifically (for the technocrats, you know), the Cardinals did seem to plug in variables where they had a perceived insufficiency on their roster, though there simply isn't enough data to yet support or deny the efficiency of these relatively still untested variables.
Nevertheless it looks like a well-run experiment on paper, but the proof in the pudding will come once it's put into practice on the game field.
