NFL Draft 2012: Arizona Cardinals Select Senio Kelemete In Fifth Round

Stay connected for news and updates

After two somewhat questionable days at the 2012 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals have done a fine job of addressing their biggest need on day three. With their offensive line is desperate need of help, the team selected offensive guard Senio Kelemete in the fifth round. This selection comes after taking offensive tackle Bobby Massie in the fourth round.

Kelemete was a standout with the University of Washington last season and was projected to be a mid-round pick by most. At 6'3 and 310 pounds, you can bet he will be a load on the offensive line in Phoenix for years to come.

Here is more on Kelemete from Sports Illustrated:

Kelemete has shown terrific progress the past two seasons and is much more athletic than his size/speed numbers would lead one to believe. He offers potential in a zone blocking scheme and should be a versatile rotational lineman at the next level.

Sure seems like a solid value pick for the Cardinals. look for Kelemete to fight for playing time right out of the gate next season.
