Arizona Cardinals Restructure Stewart Bradley's Contract

The Arizona Cardinals and linebacker Stewart Bradley agreed to restructure his contract for the 2012 season, cutting his base salary from $5 million to $2.5 million. The $2.5 million lost can be recouped through incentives during the season, according to this report from AZ Central.

There was a decent chance that Bradley would be cut if he refused to take the pay cut, especially after he served as a backup for most of 2011. He and Paris Lenon will battle for the starting ILB job in the coming months.

Stewart, who is now 28 years old after being drafted out of Nebraska in 2006, recorded 31 tackles in 16 games last season. He signed a five-year deal in the summer of 2011, and the 2012 season will undoubtably be a make-or-break year as far as his future with the Cardinals goes.
