The Arizona Cardinals will have two national TV contests next year, and one of them will be on the NFL Network as part of the expanded Thursday Night Football coverage. Arizona is going to be headed up to St. Louis to take on their divisional rivals the Rams on October 4th. Game is scheduled to kickoff at 5:20 PM PT, as all Thursday Night games will be.
The Cardinals managed to get the better of the Rams in their two regular season appearances last year, winning 19-13 in overtime on a dramatic Patrick Peterson punt return, then edging them 23-20 in St. Louis thanks to a huge performance by Beanie Wells and a go-ahead field goal by Jay Feely.
The current Thursday Night football contract stipulates that each NFL team appears at least once, so every NFL team will earn a national TV appearance.
