NFL Free Agency: Arizona Cardinals To Look At G Jake Scott

Stay connected for news and updates

As free agency has begun, one goal that the Arizona Cardinals have is to improve their offensive line. They made one move to the roster by releasing Levi Brown, but that was to get under the salary cap. They also are looking at a player to add to the line in free agency, but not at tackle.

Veteran Jake Scott, a right guard who played for the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans. He is turning 31 this year and has played 121 games in his career. If the Cardinals were to sign him, he would likely start in place of Rex Hadnot.

According to Pro Football Focus, he was rated a net 11.8 in pass blocking and a net 0.4 in run blocking. In 16 games last season, he was a net negative only four times. He allowed two sacks, a hit and 11 pressures.
