2012 NFL Power Rankings: Cardinals drop to No. 28 as slide continues

Benny Sieu-US PRESSWIRE

The Cardinals lost their eighth straight game on Sunday, causing them to drop even further in the latest NFL power rankings.

The Arizona Cardinals losing streak hit eight games on Sunday and as a result the Cardinals dropped even further in the NFL power rankings.

Arizona dropped one spot to No. 28 in SB Nation's Week 14 power rankings. Arizona is ahead of only the 3-9 Oakland Raiders, 2-10 Jacksonville Jaguars, 2-10 Kansas City Chiefs and 3-9 Philadelphia Eagles. Even worse, SB Nation's Joel Thorman questions whether or not Ken Whisenhunt's job will be safe if Arizona is unable to win another game this season.

The Cardinals fared slightly better in ESPN's latest power rankings, checking in at No. 27. Even though they were one spot higher, the Cardinals were still the lowest of the 4-8 teams and dropped two spots from last week. Arizona also checked in at No. 27 in CBS Sports' Week 14 rankings. CBS Sports' analyst Pete Prisco summed up the Cardinals losing streak by calling the offense a "disaster."

Arizona will attempt to snap their eight game losing streak when they travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks this week.
