Cary Emondson-US PRESSWIRE

The Lions aren't going to have many options to throw to Sunday with the news that Brandon Pettigrew will likely be inactive.

The Detroit Lions listed TE Brandon Pettigrew (ankle) as doubtful Friday after he missed his third consecutive practice.

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Pettigrew suffered a high ankle sprain last week, which is usually a two- to four-week injury. With Pettigrew expected to sit out, QB Matthew Stafford is left with only WR Calvin Johnson and TE Tony Scheffler as his only legitimate targets.

DT Nick Fairley (shoulder) was also slapped with a doubtful tag as he, too, was unable to make it on the practice field in any extent this week. Additionally, the Lions could be without S Louis Delmas, who was listed as questionable as he took the week off with a knee injury.

Beyond that, the Lions have five players projected as probable to play: S Don Carey (hamstring), CB Chris Houston (hamstring), WR Calvin Johnson (knee), CB Jacob Lacey (foot/Achilles) and T Corey Hilliard (knee).
