Cardinals Vs. Rams score update: Beanie Wells has 2 TD at half in 17-14 game

The second quarter did not start quite so well for the Arizona Cardinals. On the first play, Ryan Lindley attempted to throw a pass to LaRod Stephens-Howling that was picked off by rookie cornerback Janoris Jenkins and returned 36 yards for a touchdown. That tied the score at seven a piece.

Arizona punted on their next drive and forced the Rams to punt, and then the Cardinals got their second touchdown of the game. On a six-play, 65-yard drive, highlighted by a 28-yard pass play to tight end Rob Housler and a 13-yard run by Andre Roberts, Beanie Wells found an opening on the right side and scored from 12 yards out for his second score of the day to make it 14-7 Cards.

St. Louis was threatening and got down in the red zone, Patrick Peterson intercepted a Sam Bradford pass in the end zone to hold the Rams without scoring.

After a three-and-out by the Cardinals on their ensuing drive, St. Louis again moved down the field. Bradford ended the drive with a 37-yard pass in the middle of the field to Lance Kendricks that tied the score at 14.

With a chance to score some points in the two-minute drill, Lindley led the Cards 11 plays and 63 yards and Jay Feely hit a 32-yard FG as time expired to give Arizona a 17-14 lead at halftime.

Lindley is 17/25 for 181 yards and an interception. Wells has 38 yards and two scores on 11 carries. Larry Fitzgerald has three receptions for 31 yards and Rob Housler leads the team with five catches for 60 yards.

For the Rams, Sam Bradford is 6/12 for 146 yards, a TD and a pick. Steven Jackson has 41 yards on 10 carries.

Cardinals Vs. Rams score update: Ryan Lindley leads Cards to 7-0 1st quarter lead

After six straight losses for the Arizona Cardinals, they wanted to get their offense going early against the St. Louis Rams, who have not won a game since their Week 5 win over Arizona, and they did.

After the defense forced a Rams punt on their first drive, the Ryan Lindley era began well. He led a 15-play, 91 yard drive that ended in a Beanie Wells one-yard touchdown run. On the drive, Beanie carried the ball six times for 15 yards and the score. Lindley was 7/8 on the drive for 59 yards, hitting Larry Fitzgerald three times and Rob Housler and Andre Roberts twice each.

For the first time in a while, the offense didn't look stuck. It is early, but for the first time in a long time, the feeling on offense is good.

They lead by a touchdown and have the ball to start the second quarter. Are the Cardinals on their way to ending their losing streak?
