Cardinals vs. 49ers: Arizona opens as 4-point underdogs

Hannah Foslien

The Cardinals host the 49ers in a key NFC West battle on Monday, and they will be looking for an upset.

The Arizona Cardinals opened the week as 4-point home underdogs in their Week 8 Monday Night Football matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Early betting has come in on San Francisco's side, as the line has already moved to 7 points in favor of the 49ers.

Arizona is 3-3-1 against the spread this season, and 2-2 at home. The 49ers are 5-2 overall, but just 4-3 ATS. San Francisco is 2-1 on the road ATS. San Francisco has dominated recent history in the series, winning seven of 10 and 7-2-1 ATS in those games.

A low-scoring game is expected, as the total was set at 37. That has moved slightly, lowering to 36 1/2 on some sites. Both teams have hit the under more often that not this season, as the 49ers have went over just twice, and the Cardinals just once.

Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. MT on Monday. For more information on the history of these two teams versus the odds, be sure to head to Odds Shark.
