Former Cardinals OG Deuce Lutui Signs With Bengals

It's official: Deuce is officially loose. After spending the better part of the 2010 preseason in a money-fueled holdout that didn't get him the results he was looking for, Deuce Lutui has left the Cardinals to sign a two-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.

A Mesa, Arizona native, Lutui helped the Cardinals during the Kurt Warner years, helping the team win back-to-back NFC West titles and get to Super Bowl XLIII against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The holdout in 2010 likely contributed to his departure this offseason, as the Cardinals are looking to shift directions away from a 6-10 season and towards the goal of winning the West with Kevin Kolb under center.

There's very little depth at the offensive guard position for the Cardinals currently, with Alan Faneca retiring and Lutui signing elsewhere. Rex Hadnot and Jeremy Bridges will battle to start at right guard in 2011. Daryn Colledge was recently signed to take over Faneca's spot at left guard.
