Illinois Vs. Arizona State: Nathan Scheelhaase A Game-Time Decision

Stay connected for news and updates

The Arizona St. Sun Devils have practiced all week with the mentality that Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase will play on Saturday night. As kickoff nears and the injury reports begin to surface, Scheelhaase has been listed as questionable for the non-conference showdown and will be a game-time decision to play.

Here is the latest from Illini HQ:

Injured Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase practiced with the team Thursday, according to a UI spokesperson, but no decision on the junior's status for Saturday's game at Arizona State will be made until game time.

Scheelhaase originally injured the ankle last weekend in the third quarter and did not return to the game. If he is unable to go this week against ASU, Illinois head coach Tim Beckman said either sophomore Reilly O'Toole or junior Miles Osei would make the start.

Kickoff from Sun Devil Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. locally in Tempe.
