Phil Mickelson will look to create more momentum as he continues his quest for his first FedEx Cup title on Thursday at the 2012 BMW Championship.

Former Arizona State University Sun Devil Phil Mickelson will continue his quest for the FedEx Cup title at Crooked Stick Golf Club near Carmel, Ind., on Thursday when he heads to the No. 10 tee alongside Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner at the 2012 BMW Championship.

The event will feature the top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings, all of whom are vying for the $10 million prize to be awarded following the Tour Championship. The field will be narrowed down by more than half to 30 players following the next event.

Mickelson is coming off four consecutive rounds in the 60s and a strong showing over Labor Day weekend at the Deutsche Bank Championship, where he finished tied for fourth at 14-under. The former Masters champion will look to build on those rounds against a strong field for the right to play in the final playoff event at the TOUR Championship at Eastlake G.C. in Atlanta.
