Arizona Cardinals Sign ex-Arizona State Wide Receiver Gerell Robinson

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Arizona Sun Devils wide receiver Gerell Robinson tweeted on Tuesday that he will be making a homecoming and signing with the Arizona Cardinals.

The 6'3, 227-pound Robinson signed with the Broncos after going undrafted in April. Robinson's numbers as a Sun Devil weren't much to bat an eye at until his senior year when he exploded for 77 reception for 1,397 yards and seven touchdowns.

However, he couldn't quite make a name for himself in the preseason, only catching four passes for 53 yards in four games, and was cut by the Broncos on the NFL's final roster cut deadline.

Robinson will most likely find a home on the Cardinals practice squad, but House of Sparky points out that given Arizona's situation at wide receiver, Robinson could very well play himself onto the active roster later in the season.
