Deutsche Bank Championship 2012 Results: Rory McIlroy Takes The Title

Rory McIlroy came from three strokes behind Louis Oosthuizen on the final day to win the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. McIlroy shot a final-round 67 and finished 20-under for the weekend, one stroke ahead of the second-place Oosthuizen.

Oosthuizen's final round took an unfortunate turn with a double bogey on the fifth hole. Three holes later, McIlroy took the lead with a birdie on the eighth, and it was one he would never relinquish.

Tiger Woods took third place with an impressive final round that saw him shoot five birdies and no bogeys. Woods shot 66 for the day and finished two strokes behind McIlroy.

Arizona State graduate Phil Mickelson matched Tiger's 5-under day by posting three birdies on the back-nine. Lefty's strong finish moved him from ninth at the beginning of the day to fourth by the end.

Ryan Moore, who lives in Scottsdale, also came through with a big finish. He struggled on the back-nine, with three bogeys and a double bogey before getting back on track to birdie the last two holes and go 10-under for the weekend in 10th.

Fellow Scottsdale resident Bryce Molder was even for his final round, and ended up one stroke ahead of Moore for ninth place.
