The Arizona Wildcats and Oregon St. Beavers meet for an intriguing Pac-12 matchup this weekend in Tucson.
The Arizona Wildcats will look to rebound against the Oregon St. Beavers on Saturday night after suffering an embarrassing loss to Oregon last weekend. UA has played one of the toughest schedules in the nation thus far, and it won't get any easy against the No. 18 Beavers who are 2-0 this year with wins over Wisconsin and UCLA.
For the Wildcats, the game will hinge on quarterback Matt Scott's performance. Scott struggled in the Pac-12 opener and is dealing with a hip injury. When he is going right though, the Arizona offense is a sight to behold. Despite the shutout loss last week, UA is averaging about 35 points-per-game and are 11th in the nation in average passing yards.
Oregon State has been one of the bigger surprises this season. Quarterback Sean Mannion has thrown for 655 yards and three touchdowns in two games, completing 53 of his 82 pass attempts (64.6%). OSU's defense has been one of the better units in college football, ranking 18th in points allowed at just 13.5 per-game.
UA has not defeated Oregon State at Arizona Stadium since Nov. 8, 1997.
Game Time, TV Channel: 10 p.m. ET, Pac-12 Network
Point Spread: The Wildcats opened as three point favorites.
