We handicap the early Sunday games, making picks against the spread.
My stench of terrible NFL picks against the spread will continue this week -- I haven't been kicked off the Sunday morning shift yet. I'm not going to go back and tally up my record because it is probably that brutal. As always these lines are from Bovada.lv
The Bills have won two in a row and the Patriots have dropped two in a row. Last year in Buffalo, New England lost to the Bills 34-31, but that took four Tom Brady interceptions. Not happening again. Bill Belichick's squad has a big bounce back week winning by double digits.
Atlanta's march to the number one seed in the NFC continues on Sunday. Carolina's defense won't be able to stop the Falcons offense and the Panthers offense won't be able to match. I like the Falcons to pull away in the second half. Giving up the points and riding with Matt Ryan.
The Jets can't get off the field on third down and can't stop the run. It's going to take a magical coaching job from Rex Ryan for this to be a decent game. Jim Harbaugh's squad is what the Jets want to be. They play physical football on both sides of the ball. New York gets beat at their game. 49ers win by a TD.
Kansas City beat the Saints last week in New Orleans!!!! Oh wait a second I guess that's not really saying much. Besides that point Jamaal Charles showed he still Jamaal Charles and not some imposter breaking off long run after long run. San Diego was exposed by the Falcons after looking good the first week. Kansas City was 3-5 at home last year and have started off this season 0-1. That homefield advantage is just too good for them to continue to struggle. I like the Chiefs.
Kenny Britt didn't practice Thursday and is a game time decision. That's kind of something important to know considering he's the Titans best wide receiver and their running game is struggling. If he's fully healthy I think Tennessee can make this a game. If he plays, but isn't 100% their in trouble. If Britt doesn't play at all their royally screwed.
The Seahawks can make the Rams a one dimensional team completely shutting down their run game. Sam Bradford is going to get battered and beaten behind his porous offensive line. I love Seattle to romp St. Louis despite the Seahawks coming off a short week and heading on the road.
