Cardinals Vs. Eagles Score Update: Michael Floyd's 1st Career Catch Gives Arizona 10-0 Lead after 1 Quarter

The Arizona Cardinals started off in the first quarter more or less exactly the way they wanted to against the Philadelphia Eagles. They held Michael Vick and the Eagles scoreless and put together two scoring drives of their own to lead after one quarter by a score of 10-0.

The Eagles won the coin toss and started on offense, but the Arizona defense forced a three-and-out. defensive tackle Dan Williams just missed sacking Vick on the first play, Daryl Washington hit Vick and forced him to throw the ball away and Kerry Rhodes knocked down the third down throw.

Arizona, led by Kevin Kolb's 3/3 for 42 yards, went 36 yards on eight plays (he was sacked once), scored on a 47-yard Jay Feely field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

On Philly's next drive, they would pick up one first down, but an O'Brien Schofield sack of Vick after that essentially ended the drive. The Cardinals would then go three-and-out, but DeSean Jackson fumbled the ball on the punt return and the Cardinals took over on the Philadelphia 38. The ball was knocked out by Anthony Sherman and recovered by long snapper Mike Leach.

Eight plays later, Kevin Kolb found rookie Michael Floyd for an eight-yard touchdown play that was Floyd's first career catch and score. That made the game 10-0, where the score would be when the first quarter ended.
