Jim Furyk is making his presence felt during the second round of action at the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club after taking the lead with a great start to his round on Friday.

Furyk has vaulted himself atop the leaderboard at 6-under after making five birdies over his first seven holes of the day. Matt Kuchar is in solo second at 5-under, while Justin Rose is alone in third place at 4-under after a par on his first hole. Tiger Woods made bogey to fall back to 3-under after just one hole on Friday.

FedEx Cup points leader Rory McIlroy is tied with Steve Stricker, Hunter Mahan, Zach Johnson and Brandt Snedeker at 2-under for the week, while Phil Mickelson can't get much going on Friday as he sits 1-over through his first eight holes, even par for the tournament.
