The third round of the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship has wrapped up and the leaders are starting to distance themselves from the rest of the pack. After 54 holes of play, Louis Oosthuizen is the leader at -19.
Oosthuizen shot eight-under on Sunday, propelling him past Rory McIlroy for the lead. McIlroy shot a -4 in the third round and remains in contention for the title at -16. Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods are tied for third place at -13; Johnson shot a -6 today, while Woods struggled on the greens and finished at -3. Bryce Molder and Ryan Moore are tied for fifth place at 10-under par.
Phil Mickelson, an Arizona State alumnus, is tied for ninth place and sits 10 strokes back of Oosthuizen at -9 overall. Mickelson shot a -3 on Sunday and is on pace for a strong finish, which should at least give him a solid number of points in the FedExCup standings.
The fourth and final round will tee off on Monday morning.
