Arizona Basketball Recruiting: Aaron Gordon Puts Wildcats In Top 5

The Arizona Wildcats are trying to keep the momentum up in recruiting. They've already secured a solid shooting guard prospect from the East Bay in Elliott Pitts. Could they stick in the Bay Area and land another big recruit in Aaron Gordon?

Gordon has long kept Arizona in the running for his recruitment along with schools like Washington, Kansas and Kentucky. Those four schools along with Oregon all made his official visit list, which probably gives Arizona a good shot at landing him.

According to Steve Jones of the Louisville Courier-Journal, Gordon had an in-home visit with Arizona on Monday and will then trip down to Tucson on October 19th. Gordon would provide Arizona with their most dynamic talent at the position since Derrick Williams, and would follow well in the footsteps of a player like Brandon Ashley. Getting Gordon would really boost Arizona for yet another recruiting class.
