The United States had a very scary close call this weekend when their game went to the wire against Lithuania and They just managed to pulled it out in the final minutes, but it was not at all an easy call.

Now Arizona State's James Harden and Arizona's Andre Iguodala and the rest of Team USA look to regroup and beat probably the second best team in their group in Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola and Argentina. This is an older Argentinian side and the USA has enjoyed relatively strong success against them recently, but Argentina has also pulled some monumental upsets against them earlier this decade. It's not a good idea to underestimate what they're capable of.

If the USA wins, they will win their group and avoid facing the winner of the other pool until the gold medal match--if they get that far. But as their game against Lithuania shows, nothing is guaranteed at all in these Olympics.
