2012 Olympics, Men's Gymnastics Floor Exercise Final: China's Zou Kai Claims Fifth Olympic Gold

Stay connected for news and updates

China continues it's dominant pace at the 2012 London Olympic Games as gymnast Zou Kai won his fifth career Olympic gold medal on Sunday, defending his title once again in floor exercises.

This is Zou's second gold medal of these games after the Chinese men's team took the top spot last week, and has a chance to replicate his 2008 Beijing three-peat on Tuesday, when he tries to defend his Olympic title on high bar.

All-around champion Kohei Uchimura of Japan won the silver medal and Russia's Denis Ablyazin took bronze. The two finished with the same score of 15.8, but Uchimura got the silver because of a higher execution score.

Reno, NV native and University of Oklahoma standout Jake Dalton finished fifth in the competition.
