London 2012 Olympics: Michael Phelps Caps Career With Gold As Team USA Wins Men's 4x100m Medley

Team USA Swimming added another gold medal to their tally on Saturday, coming in first in the men's 4x100m medley relay. The Americans finished in 3:29.35, nearly two full seconds ahead of Japan, who finished in 3:31.26. Australia took the bronze medal with a time of 3:31.58.

The race was Michael Phelps' final race, capping his record-breaking career with yet another gold medal. That makes 18 gold medals for the swimmer, out of 22 total. Tuscon resident Matt Grevers collected his third medal of the 2012 games, adding to his silver medal from the 4x100m freestyle relay and a gold in the 100m backstroke. Brendan Hansen and Nathan Adrian rounded out the American squad.
