Diamondbacks Vs. Astros: Game 2 Preview, Probable Pitchers, Game Time, TV Schedule

Stay connected for news and updates

The Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Houston Astros Friday night, looking to make it two in a row against Houston after winning Game 1 of the three game series 3-1. Patrick Corbin (4-4, 3.41 ERA) is starting for the Diamondbacks, facing off with Houston's Jordan Lyles (2-9, 5.47 ERA). Corbin has looked strong since his latest stint in the big leagues began Aug. 1, going 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in his last three starts, allowing two or fewer runs in each start.

Corbin will face a team perpetually struggling on offense; the Astros are 26th in the league in batting average, 24th in on-base percentage and 27th in runs. He should have plenty of support. The last time the Diamondbacks saw Lyles, they took him for ten hits and eight runs over 5 2/3 innings.

Game Time: 4:05 p.m. PT

Location: Minute Maid Park, Houston, TX

Television Coverage: Fox Sports Arizona
