The AP Top 25 is released for the first time on Saturday.
The first AP Top 25 Poll will be released on Saturday morning. The Arizona Wildcats and Arizona St. Sun Devils are not expected to be included, but there are plenty of Pac-12 teams that could earn a spot.
The USC Trojans are basically a guarantee for a top-three spot, with the No. 1 overall ranking definitely possible. Led by Heisman Trophy frontrunner Matt Barkley, many are expecting big things from the Trojans this year. Arizona will host USC at home this season on Oct. 27, while ASU will travel to SoCal on Nov. 10.
Despite losing quarterback Andrew Luck, the Stanford Cardinal are expected to receive a spot in the top 25. They have recruited very well in recent years and return one of the conference's best tailbacks in Stepfan Taylor.
The Washington Huskies are the final team who could make an appearance in the poll. QB Keith Price returns and so do a few of their better playmakers, but their defense has to improve if they hope to challenge Oregon and Stanford in the North Division.
The poll will be released at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT.
