This series against the Astros givse the D-backs a chance to gain a game or two in the playoff race; Houston owns the worst record in baseball and is 3-7 in its last ten games.
Astros LHP Wade Miley (12-8, 3.02 ERA) takes on LHP Dallas Keuchel (1-4, 5.29 ERA) in game one on Friday night.
