On Saturday night, the Quaker State 400 took place at Kentucky Speedway, as the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rolled right along. Brad Keselowski ended up taking the checkered flag, holding off Kasey Kahne for the all-important win.
The victory allows Keselowski to stay put at No. 10 in the overall Sprint Cup standings, avoiding the cutoff for the time being as the Chase for the Cup keeps getting closer. Matt Kenseth finished in seventh place and remains the overall points leader, while Dale Earnhardt, Jr. moves back into second place. Jimmie Johnson moves into third place overall with his sixth-place finish on Saturday, dropping Greg Biffle to fourth in the standings.
