One of the drawback to an odds-on favorite winning a big race or big game is that there isn't that much of a payout. When I'll Have Another took the 2012 Kentucky Derby, there was a pretty decent payout for a $2.00 bet. At the 2012 Belmont Stakes on Saturday, however, the big money was in picking third-place horse Atigun to show.

Even worse for you as a bettor if you picked Dullahan, as the horse favored at about the same odds as Union Rags prior to the race fell behind early and never climbed back into things.
