The Pocono 400 is in the books as the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series officially enters its second half. In the end, pole position holder Joey Logano managed to take the checkered flag by muscling past Mark Martin with a bump-and-run pass with three laps left to go. Martin was none too pleased with the move, but the end result was Logano's second career win. His first came way back in 2009.
This was the fifth top 10 finish for Logano this season and the first time he has placed above eighth. Matt Kenseth finished in seventh place and ensured he would take over as the overall Sprint Cup points leader. Previous leader Greg Biffle fell out of the top spot with a disappointing 24th-place finish.
