On Saturday, the Capital City 400 was held at Richmond International Raceway. The ninth event in the 2012 Sprint Cup Series was the second Saturday race of the season.
In the end, Kyle Busch was able to edge fan-favorite Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to take the checkered flag. Earnhardt looked ready to finally snap his winless streak of 137 straight races, but the three-quarter mile track wore out his brakes early and he came just short of being able to catch and overtake Busch, who picked up the 24th win of his career.
There was a bit of controversy on one of the restarts, with 83 laps remaining. Jeff Gluck at SB Nation explains the situation far better than I could, so click through to read about that.
